These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Horizon Wheels Auto website and the rental of vehicles and related services.
By making a reservation, renting a vehicle, or using our website, you agree to follow these Terms & Conditions together with the applicable rental agreement.
Renters must meet Horizon Wheels Auto’s eligibility requirements.
The current rental requirements state that the minimum renter age is 21.
Renters must also have a valid driver’s license within the United States and full coverage insurance as required by the company’s rental requirements.
Horizon Wheels Auto reserves the right to verify eligibility before providing a vehicle.
Each rental is subject to the terms of the applicable rental agreement.
The rental agreement may contain additional information regarding the vehicle, rental period, mileage, insurance, payment, deposits, permitted use, damage responsibility, and other conditions.
If there is a conflict between general website information and the signed rental agreement, the applicable rental agreement will control to the extent permitted by law.
Rental periods are calculated on a 24 hour basis.
For example, a rental beginning at 9:00 AM for one day is expected to be returned by 9:00 AM the following day.
Late returns may result in additional rental charges.
Rental payment must be completed according to the payment terms provided during the reservation process or in the rental agreement.
The current rental requirements state that the rental invoice is issued on the pickup date in advance of the rental term and must be paid in full.
Customers making an online payment should use their own personal credit or debit card.
Customers who want to extend a rental should contact Horizon Wheels Auto at least 12 hours before the requested extension.
An extension is not valid until it has been approved and payment has been made in accordance with the applicable rental terms.
Additional rental days may be charged at the applicable rate.
The current cancellation policy states that no cancellation refund applies unless the customer provides at least 24 hours’ notice before the first rental date.
Once a rental has started, the unused portion of the rental period is not refundable.
The specific terms presented during the reservation process or contained in the rental agreement may also apply.
The current rental requirements state that 200 miles are included per day.
Additional mileage may result in a per mile charge. The applicable rate may vary depending on the vehicle.
Customers should review their rental agreement for the mileage allowance and additional mileage rate that applies to their vehicle.
The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition in which it was received, subject to ordinary use as permitted by the rental agreement.
Customers should inspect the vehicle when receiving it and document its condition with photographs or videos.
Customers are responsible for reporting existing damage or concerns promptly.
Smoking is prohibited in Horizon Wheels Auto vehicles.
Additional charges may apply if smoking results in cleaning, odor, or damage.
Pets are not permitted in Horizon Wheels Auto vehicles under the current rental requirements.
Additional cleaning or damage charges may apply when this restriction is violated.
Customers may not use Horizon Wheels Auto vehicles for:
Customers must also follow applicable traffic laws and speed restrictions.
Violations may result in charges, termination of the rental agreement, vehicle shutdown, and responsibility for related damage or costs.
Customers are expected to operate rental vehicles safely and within applicable speed limits.
Repeated speed violations or reckless driving may result in additional charges and termination of the rental agreement according to the applicable rental terms.
Customers must report accidents and other significant incidents as required by the rental agreement.
The current rental requirements state that customers may be responsible for certain repair costs when a customer caused an accident or damage.
Customers must also report accidents to the police when required under the rental terms or applicable law.
Tire damage is not covered by the basic insurance stated in the current rental requirements.
The renter may be responsible for tire repair or replacement costs resulting from damage.
A charge may apply for scratches or other damage identified when the vehicle is returned.
Customers should document the vehicle condition at pickup and return to help maintain an accurate record.
Customers are responsible for applicable fines, penalties, towing, impound charges, and other costs arising from their use of the vehicle when such costs are the customer’s responsibility under the rental agreement or applicable law.
Customers may not attach marketing materials, stickers, wrapping paper, decals, or similar materials to Horizon Wheels Auto vehicles without written permission.
Charges may apply for unauthorized materials or resulting damage.
Vehicle delivery may be available to approved homes, hotels, offices, airports, or other locations depending on the reservation and service availability.
Additional conditions or charges may apply.
Horizon Wheels Auto may provide rental or transportation services with a driver depending on availability and the specific service requested.
The terms for a chauffeur or driver service may differ from a standard self drive rental.
Vehicle availability is not guaranteed until a reservation has been accepted and confirmed.
Vehicles, rates, features, colors, and availability may change.
Images and descriptions on the website are provided for general information and may not always represent the exact vehicle assigned to a reservation.
Horizon Wheels Auto makes reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and current.
However, vehicle availability, pricing, rental policies, service availability, and other information may change without notice.
Customers should confirm important details before completing a reservation.
The Horizon Wheels Auto website may use or link to third party services for reservations, payments, maps, communications, analytics, or other functions.
Third party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Horizon Wheels Auto is not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third party providers except where required by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Horizon Wheels Auto will not be responsible for losses or damages arising from circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
